Leicester: security doors
Security doors in Leicester start from about £1,450 plus VAT for a standard opening, with a free survey and a written quotation before anything is ordered.
For Leicester shops and offices, every job begins with a visit to measure the opening and the security doors are then made to those dimensions.
Permission and Leicester City Council
In Leicester, applications go to Leicester City Council. A straight replacement is normally permitted, whereas a new look, an outside shutter box or a lit fascia generally needs an application. The survey confirms which rules apply.
What it costs in Leicester
The entry price is about £1,450 plus VAT. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
From order to fitted
Expect 3-4 weeks after survey for manufacture. Fitting a standard Leicester unit is normally one to two days on site. If you cannot close, we can work outside trading hours.
Specification notes
Rear and side doors are where most forced entries happen because they are out of sight. Options include multi-point locking; options tested to LPS 1175.
