Birmingham: security grilles
Security grilles in Birmingham start from about £1,150 plus VAT for a standard opening, with a free survey and a written quotation before anything is ordered.
Around Birmingham, we survey the opening before any price is given so the security grilles arrive made to fit.
From order to fitted
Expect 2-3 weeks after survey for manufacture. On site, most Birmingham jobs take one or two days. We can fit on a day the business is shut.
Specification notes
A grille secures the opening while leaving the frontage visible, which suits units inside shopping centres and anywhere a solid curtain is not wanted. Common specifications: folds back into the reveal during trading; keeps the display visible.
Where we work around Birmingham
Our Birmingham jobs sit within West Midlands and the B postcode area, which puts it on the same route as Sutton Coldfield, Halesowen and Stourbridge.
Local planning
In Birmingham, applications go to Birmingham City Council. Like-for-like work rarely needs consent, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. We check which applies to your unit at survey.
What it costs in Birmingham
Guide price: from £1,150 plus VAT for a standard opening. Size, specification and strip-out decide the exact number. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
FAQs
Do you cover the whole of West Midlands?
Yes. We cover Birmingham and the rest of West Midlands, including Sutton Coldfield, Halesowen and Stourbridge.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
What do you need from me to quote?
The address, roughly what you want, and a photo of the current frontage. Opening sizes help but are not essential, because we measure at survey anyway.
