Timescales
Lead time is typically 2-3 weeks after survey. Installation in Newport is usually a day or two once everything is made. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
The product
Twin-wall laths are filled with foam, which reduces heat loss and draughts through the opening and takes the edge off street noise. Popular choices include twin-wall aluminium laths; foam-filled core.
Coverage
Our Newport jobs sit within Shropshire across the TF postcode district, which puts it on the same route as Ludlow, Market Drayton and Telford.
Do you need consent?
In Newport, applications go to Telford & Wrekin Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, whereas a new look, an outside shutter box or a lit fascia generally needs an application. You will know before you order.
Common questions
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by our installation team and approved installers working under S&K Glazing Limited, which contracts with you and is responsible for the job.
Do you cover the whole of Shropshire?
Yes. We cover Newport and the rest of Shropshire, including Ludlow, Market Drayton and Telford.
What guarantee do I get?
Every installation comes with a written guarantee, and manufacturer warranties on hardware, motors and finishes are passed to you. The terms are set out on your quotation.
Can you match the units either side?
On a parade where the landlord wants a consistent frontage, we work to the same section profile and colour reference so the unit reads as part of the row.
